StarlifterRadio.com – ah yeah!

StarlifterRadio.com

StarlifterRadio.com

So after a week or so of throwing names around I’ve decided that StarScream++ was a bit techie and a bit geeky and have decided to officially call the new Starlifter.TV SHOUTcast audio stream… Starlifter Radio, original huh. So it’s official as of today you can go straight to StarlifterRadio.com and listen to the latest and the greatest in the world of Starlifter.TV. One name I just thought of that would’ve been a laugh was “Starlifter.TV-on-the-radio.com” – you indie kids will get it, you dance kids might not :p

So yeah, StarlifterRadio.com, a fully functional Death Star. Sometimes live from the Starlifter.TV Complex, sometimes with Auto DJ, HAL++. If you wanna know when live shows are happening follow us on twitter @starliftertv. If you’ve got any tunes or mixes you wanna share with the Starlifter.TV community you can upload them here: http://soundcloud.com/drhitchcock/dropbox – and if you’re techie minded enough and wanna host a show on Starlifter Radio drop me a line: drh_at_starlifter.tv

Oh, by the way… I just uploaded a whole bunch of old photos from the old Mixtape Connection archive. If you ever went to any of those parties you know the radness, oh yes, you know the radness. Photos can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Mixtape-Connection/6541735977 – AH MEMORIES!

Peace,

Gun Metal Tour from Jem the Misfit on Vimeo.

After three years of hosting Wellington’s premier Club night, and a year smashing Melbourne the Gun Metal crew will be presenting their new integrated audio-visual show with a 10 day tour of New Zealand!

The tour – landing September 2009, hosts the team Kill Me DJ, Samari and Jem the Misfit!

Based in Australia, the three have already received acclaim for their production and ground breaking A/V performance’s. Jem the Misfit being the winner of Pioneer’s Pro DJ competition for visuals, Kill Me DJ having tracks released on Kitsune and Samari doing remixes for Pitch Black and Pig Out.

The sound looks beyond the fidget beats of Baltimore and into the stratosphere of tunes being played by the likes of ZZT, Oizo, Boys Noize, Edjotronic, Proxy and more.
Brandishing their metallic edged sound + visual experience across New Zealand, the crew will be playing four of the country’s top clubs and reaping havoc on the way!

Get set to experience a pumping four hour ride through audio warfare and visual carnage that is set to re-interpret club culture… This tour will be nothing but Gun Metal!!!

With special thanks to Wicked Campers for the tour bus, Radio Active, RDU, Radio 1 and RedBull.
